I'm a guy and I read this book cover to cover in under 48 hours. One of my friends picked it up this week, told me about it and I figured I'd give it a try. She told me I wouldn't like it because it's "supposed" to be for girls. However, I think it actually opened up my eyes to a lot of things women have to think about and do that I wouldn't have given a second thought to. Totally unexpected fun. Fast read from two very funny women and absolutely recommended!!
I stumbled upon Corinne and Krystyna's podcast a few months ago and immediately fell in love with their witty, thoughtful and comedic approach. I was happy to learn that they were writing a book; it did not disappoint.It's refreshing and invaluable to see women present this subject matter in a real way. It helps pave the way for important, and honest, conversations that should be happening between all of us. Whether it's a conversation with your partner about what you want out of the relationship or with a random person who crossed a line and needs to be told it's not okay..these women express the importance of speaking your mind..and so much more.My only disappointment is that this book wasn't around for my early twenties when I was really a mess and could have used some honest conversation about relationships, sex, and abuse. However, even after thinking I finally have my stuff together..I've still learned a lot through their shared experiences.So if you have any kind of relationship or even just participate to some degree in the world we are all living in..read this book.
You know how there's people who always say the book is better than the movie? This book is the bomb and they should honestly still get a movie, but it wouldn't be as good as this book. Smart ladies who really created a powerful piece of literature. I hope there will be more books to come!!!
A wonderful read about unraveling the shame we've been taught and have unknowingly passed around regarding our sexuality. Krystyna and Corinne have tapped into a very important conversation with their podcast and successfully articulated why this discussion is important and complex throughout the book. With a mix of personal stories contextualizing their stance and research, they've developed a resource to help women and men understand how to be more confident about themselves, grasp the complexity of their sexuality and how the world interacts with it and how to work towards achieving self-love. Big congrats to what these two have done to make a taboo conversation more engaging, less clinical, honest and most of all, productive.

These ladies really outdid themselves with this book. I got the audiobook and listened to it while getting work done, and for some reason I couldn’t hold myself together. I was laughing, crying, and everything in between. It was so absorbing that I couldn’t even focus on mundane tasks.I feel like I saw a whole new side to both of them, much more personal than they ever get in the podcast, and hearing their voices occasionally swell with emotion was so moving. I’ll have to read this book 2 or 3 times to fully absorb it all. I finished the majority of it in one day, that’s how good it is.
After the announcement that these two gems were writing a book I could hardly wait. They’ve changed the game of sexuality (sorry Dan Savage, step aside) and propelled a new movement forward in our society. I wish I had these two as my sisters. Ok, on a more realisic note I wish I had this book growing up. Being as it’s the first of its kind, I enjoyed the recollections of sexuality from Corinne’s hard-hitting, realistic, point of view and Krystyna’s whimsical, insightful experiences. Being that I’m in my early liberal 20’s I realize how much work we have to do because this book introduces toptics that still seem to be taboo. Corinne and Krystyna are paving the way for others to encourage open and honest dialouges about sex.
These girls are talented comedians and writers. I highly recommend their podcast, "Guys we F*****", and this book as well. Would be a great gift for a girl going into high school or college. These girls are not in your face feminists, rather very well spoken, experienced, intelligent women, who make EXTREMLY valid points, arguments, and conversation. I would recommend this book to male or female, as it is hilarious, intelligent, and extremely important for todays society. READ THIS BOOK AND THEN GIFT IT TO SOMEONE ELSE!!! IT WILL CHANGE THE WAY YOU VIEW YOUR LIFE!!
